Thanks for all your input regarding this late summer group fitness session on the beach. The series will run for five weeks, each Monday at 6:30pm, ending around 7:30pm. Each workout will be different. We will progress movements as the weeks go by, so come to all five if you can.
As always, each movement can be regressed or progressed to meet your strengths and/ or limitations. All are welcome, regardless of your current fitness or skill level, so long as your are healthy enough for exercise.
This series will focus on bodyweight training – we will use calisthenics, plyometrics, locomotion and partner leverage, along with surf, sport and yoga-inspired movements to improve strength, cardio conditioning, body composition, balance, flexibility, power and mobility.
Bodyweight training is an excellent medium for group fitness because it is fundamental to other types of training, it can be performed just about anywhere, and it requires little to no equipment. My goals are to jump-start and/ or re-invigorate your fitness journey and to help you become self-sufficient and independently fit.
Payment options are as follows: 1) you can drop in at any class for $15,
2) pay $25 for that class and an additional class, or prepay for any two classes
3) pay $50 up-front for all 5.
At $10 per class the full series is a great deal. You will get an amazing, full body workout each week, and learn new skills that you can incorporate in your fitness pursuits anytime, wherever you are.
